Estremecendo — Shaking / Trembling

Estremecendo means 'shaking' or 'trembling'. It's a powerful and evocative word that describes a strong, impactful movement, often with a sense of awe or fear.

In the song, it's used to describe the profound impact of the church's actions: "Movendo o grande céu, Estremecendo o chão" (Moving the great heaven, Shaking the ground). This word perfectly captures the song's theme of the church's unstoppable force and its ability to cause significant, even earth-shattering, change.

A Igreja Vem is a thunderous Brazilian gospel anthem that pictures the Christian Church as a brilliant army marching side by side with Jesus. Every line overflows with glory: the Savior shines "brighter than the sun," chases away darkness, and kicks down the gates of hell while miracles boom like drums. Anderson Freire shows the Church as an ever-growing force that rescues captives, raises new lives, and keeps glowing even under persecution.

At the same time, the song is a love story set on a cosmic stage. The "Bride" (the Church) is getting ready for the arrival of the "Bridegroom" - Jesus - who bursts onto the scene in dazzling splendor and invites everyone to join the angelic choir. Through fiery imagery and joyful repetition, the lyrics celebrate almost two thousand years of unstoppable faith and welcome the listener to march in that victorious parade.

Anderson Freire grew up in Monte Alegre, a community in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim in the south of Espírito Santo, Brazil. He first sang with the gospel group Banda Giom, and before most people knew his voice he was already writing songs for some of the biggest names in Brazilian gospel, including Aline Barros, Fernanda Brum, Bruna Karla and Cassiane.

He went solo in 2010 after signing with MK Music. Raridade, released in 2013, was the album that changed everything, and it became one of the best-selling Brazilian gospel records in years. His other albums include Identidade, Deus Não Te Rejeita and Contagem Regressiva, and he has won the Latin Grammy for Best Portuguese Language Christian Album twice, for Deus Não Te Rejeita and the EP Seguir Teu Coração.
