A few drinks in, Alzate finally says what he's been holding back. "Ya me tomé unos tragos y se me subieron" (I've had a few drinks and they went to my head), and suddenly he's brave enough to tell her how he feels. The problem: she's with someone else. "No sé por qué tú sigues con él" (I don't know why you're still with him), he says, because the way she looks at him tells a different story.

The travesuras (mischief, little naughty adventures) he has in mind are spending the night together and waking up "junticos" (snuggled together). It ends with a cheeky plea: "escápese, princesa" (sneak away, princess).

Learner tip: "escápese" uses the formal usted command, which Colombians often use affectionately with a partner. And "junticos" is "juntos" (together) with the diminutive -icos, a very Colombian way to make a word sound sweeter.
